Obituary: Elizabeth P. Allman

November 15, 1932 – June 22, 2019

Elizabeth P. Allman, 86, of Medora, died at her residence on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

Born November 15, 1932, in Sneedville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Anderson and Callie (Gibson) Bell. She married Arnold Allman in Medora on November 15, 1952, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 1988.

She worked at Extruded Alloys for a number of years and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Allman and Michael Allman and wife Cathy; a daughter-in-law, Mary Allman of Seymour; sister Mattie Mills of Sneedville; one brother, James Arnold Bell and wife Shelia of Bedford;
her dear friend Dean Sears of Leesville, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; her son Wayne Allman; one brother George Bell; five sisters, Susie Willis, Lois Dalton, Barbara Terrell, Mabel Turpin, and Marvin Bell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jack Belk. Burial will follow in the Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
