Jeep Cherokee Swept Off Portersville Bridge

(DAVIESS CO.) – A vehicle was washed off of the Portersville Bridge in Daviess County on Sunday.

Daviess County deputies were alerted at 8:52 a.m. Sunday by a resident on County Road 900 South that a man came to heir home saying he had been in the water all night and that his black Jeep Cherokee had been washed off the Portersville Bridge.

Portersville Road has been closed due to high water.

The man, who was not injured, was transported to a Washington residence.

Authorities searched for the vehicle but were unable to locate it. Fearing it had been washed down river Dubois County authorities were contacted to see if they could locate it.
