Limestone Caves and Karst

(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Parks Department along with Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Purdue Extension, Local FACES, United States Forest Service, and Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation District will be sponsoring a program on limestone.

Kristie Lindberg has a wealth of experience with Indiana Caves and Karst and will cover what is unique about our limestone and karst and why these systems are so fragile for stormwater and water contamination. She’ll explain what makes this part of Indiana globally unique.

Bring your questions and learn about Indiana’s caves and karst and the limestone beneath our feet.

This will be held on June 25th, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Wilson Park Shelter House 2211 Denson Avenue in Bedford. RSVP by this Friday, June 21st.
