Join Us As We Rally For Riley Saturday at Walmart

(UNDATED) – When you give, children heal – every gift makes an impact. The dedicated team at Riley Hospital could not deliver expert family-centered care and breakthrough pediatric research without extensive donor support. Gifts from partners like you help sustain critical Riley Hospital programs.

1340 AM WBIW, Litefm 102.5 and Super Oldies 105.5 WQRK with Walmart will Rally for Riley to collect funds for Riley Children’s Hospital.

On Saturday, June 22, 2019 radio personalities and local Riley kids will be at the Bedford Walmart collecting donations from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Derrick Weidner will entertain the crowd from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Golden Corral will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers with all the proceeds to benefit Riley.

Ten percent of your total purchases on today at Magic Morning in Bedford and Thursday at Railroad Cafe in Mitchell will be donated to benefit the children at Riley.

Don’t forget to drop your spare change at buckets placed at Ben Franklin, Growby’s, O’Reilly, Subway and Terry’s 66 service station all located in Mitchell.

Riley Wagon

The red Riley wagon is the preferred mode of transportation for many patients at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. She has become an iconic symbol of Indiana’s cherished children’s research hospital, which is entering a new phase of growth thanks to the tremendous support of donors.

The red Riley wagon is the preferred mode of transportation for many patients at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. She has become an iconic symbol of Indiana’s cherished children’s research hospital, which is entering a new phase of growth thanks to the tremendous support of donors.

The red Riley wagon is also a way for people to give back. Individuals and groups are able to name my license plate as an acknowledgment of contributions made to Riley Children’s Foundation. It is a great way donors can have a little piece of Riley named at the hospital.

Riley Wagon naming opportunities start at $2,500.

Riley kid Evan Burr and his family are one of the most recent donors to give back in this way. Evan’s medical journey began when he was constantly feeling very tired and struggled to play sports. After monitoring his heart rate and seeing it was very low, he headed to Riley Hospital for an appointment.

“We learned on a Thursday afternoon that Evan needed surgery, and by Friday morning he was having open heart surgery,” says his mother Stacey.

The benign tumor in Evan’s heart turned out to be the size of a baseball. However, the summer after his surgery, Evan was back on his soccer team and doing what he loves. After his experience at Riley Hospital, Evan is so happy his family is able to give back by naming my license plate.

“I just hope other kids use it as something that makes them feel better in this whole scary process,” says Evan.
