Judah Festival In Full Swing Starting Friday Evening

(JUDAH) – The Judah Heritage Festival is set to get underway the evening of Friday, June 21, 2019 with fun, activities, and of course a lot of food to be devoured.

This evening events include the crowning of the Queen and Princess starting at 6 p.m. Then Kirby Stailey will be performing rain or shine from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. In the event of rain the performance will be moved into the Valley Church of the Nazarene.

On Friday, the Judah Festival Market place will be open from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. with several vendors offering a variety of products and services.

The Indiana Pacers FAN VAN will be on hand from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday evening.

A Silent Auction will start at 5 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. on Friday night.

Music entertainment will include the Rumors from Louisville, Kentucky, and Jackson Dreyer from Nashville, Tennessee.

The midway will be open from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, and from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday. The mid-way will reopen at 4 p.m. and stay open until 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday will be a busy day with the Market Place being open all day long, The 5K Run/Walk will start at 8 a.m. at the Judah Park Shelter House; registration will begin at 7 a.m at the Judah Park Shelter House.

A Silent Auction will begin at 10 a.m and conclude at 8 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, a Classic Car Cruise-In will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 3 p.m.

Peoples choice from the BBQ competition will be sold to the public from 12:30 p.m. until the BBQ is gone.

Parade line up will begin at Holt’s Cafe at 3 p.m. on Old State Road 37. The Parade will begin at Holt’s and traveling to the Valley Church of the Nazarene. Those watching the parade are encouraged to line up along Old State Road 37 from Holts to the Johnny Junxions.

Awards will be given for the Backyard BBQ competition on the main stage at 4:30 p.m.

The music entertainment on Saturday evening will include the Old and Gold from Bedford, Indiana starting at 5:15 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and Gran Torino from Bedford, Indiana from 7 p.m. until 8:15 p.m., and Shelia Stephen from 8:45 p.m. until 10:15 p.m.

Fireworks will conclude the festival on Saturday. They are set to begin around 10:15 p.m. There will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
