  • 2:53 p.m. The 200 block of Murdock Station Road will be closed for about two hours while a large tree is removed from the roadway

  • 3:55 p.m. Report of a woman wanted on a warrant in Orange County walking northbound on Hoosier Avenue at 10th Street in Oolitic. Police said the woman was not the woman wanted on the warrant
  • 4:08 p.m. Request for extra patrols in the 1100 block of North 8th Street after running off teens at the storage units
  • 4:25 p.m. Report of an abandoned vehicle at State Road 37 and Mitchell Road
  • 4:32 p.m. Report of high water at the intersection of Yockey and Rabbitsville roads
  • 4:36 p.m. Report of high water in the 12000 block of State Road 58 East
  • 4:46 p.m. Controlled fire in the 1550 block of Wesley Chapel Road
  • 4:47 p.m. Disabled vehicle at 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers helped push the vehicle out of the road

  • 5:02 p.m. A resident in the 100 block of Pleasant View Drive would like to speak to an officer about an incident that happened at Rulers after a man who appeared to be high attempted to steal her purse
  • 5:11 p.m. High water reported on State Road 54 West and North Pike. There are a lot of large rocks on the roadway. INDOT was alerted and said it was not an immediate traffic hazard and that officers could clear the debris. INDOT was advised officers do not carry brooms with them
  • 5:13 p.m. High water reported at Old Needmore School Road and Old State Road 37
  • 5:18 p.m. A culvert was washed out at State Road 60 East and Thralls Road
  • 5:25 p.m. Traffic stop at 16th Street at O’Reily’s
  • 5:39 p.m. Warrant service at Lakeside Estates
  • 5:44 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 100 block of Wells Lane
  • 5:46 p.m. traffic stop at Rabbitsville Road and Walkers Drive
  • 5:48 p.m. Utility pole fire at US 50 East and Leesville Road
  • 5:53 p.m. Unwanted female at a home in the 4290 block of State Road 158. The female left and was told not to return
  • 5:54 p.m. Medical emergency at Maple Ridge Apartments. A person was having trouble breathing
  • 7:07 p.m. A female requested an officer to go with her to pick up a child from the child’s father in Oolitic
  • 7:11 p.m. Tree in the roadway at Watson Merry Road and US 50 West
  • 7:20 p.m. Animal control requested to State Road 37, south of Old State Road 37 for a possible injured dog in the median. The dog was fine and had made it across the roadway
  • 7:25 p.m. Burglary in the 1890 block of Lawrenceport Road. A male and female were at a home and stole several itesm. They left in a truck and the caller was able to get the license plate. The female was arrested at 7:55 p.m.
  • 8:09 p.m. Fight between two males in the 500 block of West Oak Street
  • 8:11 p.m. 911 call in the 5100 block of US 50 East. A child was playing with the phone
  • 8:21 p.m. A jailer was punched by an inmate at the Lawrence County Jail. A battery report was filed
  • 8:44 p.m. A message was delivered to a home in the 450 block of East Vine Street
  • 9:13 p.m. 911 call in the 390 block of Sasser Drive. It was an accidental call
  • 9:39 p.m. A male called to report a couple went to Jeffersonville to pick up a male who was in a rehabilitation center and had been kicked out and was to transport him back to the Lawrence County jail, but they stopped at WalMart first and the male took off and they have not seen him since and the caller does not want the couple to get in trouble for the male running off
  • 10:09 p.m. Deputies assist Indiana State Police on a traffic stop at State Road 37 at the Oolitic light
  • 10:46 p.m. Medical emergency in the 700 block of Crawford Street
  • 11:59 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East and Stove Road. A citation was issued for speeding

  • 2:58 a.m. Police made extra patrols at Crossroads Church
  • 3:08 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 400 block of Main Street. It was a false alarm
