Stanley Watterson

When officers arrived just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, they found 61-year-old Stanley Watterson.

BPD Chief Terry Moore says officers found a clear glass smoking device with a burnt crystal-like substance inside on Watterson’s lap.

“Before Mr. Watterson could exit the vehicle he had to be told to put the vehicle in park,” Chief Moore added. “Mr. Watterson demonstrated usual signs of intoxication and was handcuffed. Officers located a baggie containing a crystal-like substance, which field tested positive for meth in his pocket and inside the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia.”

Watterson agreed to submit to a chemical blood test and was taken to a local hospital for that test. The results are pending.

Watterson was arrested on charges of possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
