Part of Fairfax State Recreation Area Closed for International Bowhunting Triple Crown Competition

(BLOOMINGTON) — Parts of Fairfax State Recreation Area will be closed to the public Thursday, June 13 through Monday, June 17 for preparation, hosting and cleanup of the second leg of the International Bowhunting Organization’s Triple Crown archery competition.

The archery competition will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

For safety reasons, the competition area on the west side of the property will be closed to the public during those dates. The area west of the park road inside Fairfax SRA, including the hiking trail, will also be closed.

The Fourwinds Resort and Marina, and the boat ramps will remain open.

A vendor area in the beach parking lot will be open to the public. Because of high water, the beach is closed.
