(BEDFORD) – A Springville man was injured after being hit by a vehicle on Tuesday morning, at the intersection of R Street and John Williams Boulevard.
According to a Bedford Police report, officers arrived on the scene at 7:44 a.m.
Police said 65-year-old Ginger East of Bedford was traveling on R Street and turning right on John Williams Blvd. when she realized she hit 81-year-old Vernon Hammersley of Springville.
East told police that she never saw him prior to hitting him. A witness told police that Hammersley fell into roadway, causing East to drive over him.
Hammersley suffered minor head injury, and was transported IU Health Ambulance to IU Health Bloomington for treatment.
