(SALEM) – An addiction awareness event is set for Saturday, June 1, at CenterPeace in Salem.
The event organized by Dana Brewer, who struggled with substance abuse herself, wants to raise awareness of the problem as well as highlight local community resources.
“Your Story, Our Mission” will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature speakers, live music, booths, food, face painting for children and a raffle.
Brewer’s long-term goal is to establish a recovery home in Washington County.
