(JASPER) – Jasper District Command Lieutenant Jason Allen and Master Trooper Eric Williams will be presenting two minors with a Civilian Distinguished Service Award for their actions on November 30th, 2018, that saved the home of Master Trooper Eric Williams.
The award recipients were playing in the neighborhood when they observed Master Trooper Eric Williams’s home was on fire. Thinking quickly, the children notified a nearby neighbor who was able to contact the fire department.
Despite the extensive damage to Williams’s home, the quick actions of the two boys saved all of the Williams family heirlooms.
The presentation will be today at 10:45 a.m. at the Indiana State Police Jasper Post.
