(BLOOMINGTON) – Bloomington Police say a domestic dispute Wednesday ended with one man taken to the Hospital after being stabbed in his chest with a pair of scissors.
Police arrived at a North Illinois Street apartment after a report of two people stabbing each other.
Police say that 44-year-old Angela Woods reported that she and a man had been arguing about her being evicted and he attempted to stab her with scissors.
She told police she took the scissors and stabbed him in the chest.
He was taken to IU Health Hospital for treatment of a minor stab wound to the chest.
The man told police at first he had fallen down the stairs while holding the scissors, but later admitted that Woods had stabbed him.
Woods was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
