Pavement Restoration Begins Tonight On State Road 265 In Clark County

(CLARK CO.) – INDOT contractor MAC Construction will begin work on a $3.9 million pavement restoration project on State Road 265 in Clark County on or after tonight, weather permitting. Work will take place from I-65 to just less than a mile west of State Road 62.


Beginning this evening at 7 p.m., right-hand lanes of both State Road 265 east and westbound will be closed for crews to begin saw cutting, patching and concrete stitching.
The right lane will be closed on eastbound State Road 265 beginning just west of I-65 to the Coopers Lane overpass and on westbound State Road 265 between the Coopers Lane and Charlestown Pike overpasses. Both lanes will reopen Friday morning at 6 a.m.
Right-hand lanes will close again in both directions at 7 p.m. Friday evening and remain closed until Monday morning at 6 a.m.
A 45 mph speed restriction will be in effect during work hours. Various lane closures and restrictions will take place tonight and weekends for the duration of the project. The project’s expected completion date is June 2020.
