(CRANE) – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) intends to issue a Hazardous Waste Management Renewal Permit to Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center.
This permit renewal will allow Crane to continue to operate a storage and treatment facility in Crane, Indiana.
The draft permit renewal and related documents are available for review at the Bedford Public Library, 1323 K Street, Bedford, Indiana, and at the IDEM virtual file cabinet at www.IN.gov/idem/ and select “Online Services”.
The IDEM is seeking public comments before a final decision is made to issue the permit renewal.
Written comments on the draft permit may be sent to the IDEM and must be postmarked no later than June 30, 2019. Comments may be sent to Mr. Jeff Workman, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Hazardous Waste Permit Section, IGCN 1101, 100 North Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
