Will Power Tops Opening Practice At IMS

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – Reigning Indy 500 winner Will Power picked up where he left off as he led the opening practice on Tuesday for the 103rd running.


Power turned in a best lap of 229.746 mph in the first of four practice days leading up to qualifications this weekend.
After Power was IndyCar Grand Prix winner Simon Pagenaud, who clocked a best lap of 229.703 mph. Ed Carpenter finished third at 228.653 mph.
In the Rookie Orientation and Refreshers it was Kyle Kaiser who topped the leaderboard with a speed of 223.344 mph.
Wednesday’s practice session is scheduled for 11am EST.
