Washington Man Wanted On Murder Charges Turns Himself In

(WASHINGTON) – A Washington man turned himself Thursday on a murder warrant out of Puerto Rico. Washington Police records state Gabriel Mora-Ruiz is charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and a weapons charge.


According to the Puerto Rican police in late January of this year, Mora-Ruiz and an accomplice were charged in a court in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
The two men are accused of killing 25-year-old Cristian Ortiz Acosta and wounding 23-year-old Kevin Santos Estrada on the afternoon of January 25, 2019. On that day, the authorities received a 911 about a person wounded by a bullet near PR-329 highway in the City of Las Lomas.
When they arrived at the scene, officers found the lifeless body of Ortiz Acosta, whose body had several bullet wounds in different parts of the body and Santos Estrada suffered a bullet wound to his right leg.
