Daviess County Council Approves Tax Abatement for New Hotel

(WASHINGTON) – The Daviess County Council approved a 10-year standard tax abatement for the construction of a Hampton Inn on Cumberland Drive on the south side of Washington.


After a public hearing, the Council approved a confirmatory resolution and set the abatement schedule over 10 years with 10 percent added per year to the recovered taxes.
The new 4-story hotel will have 72 rooms and provide 50 new jobs. Construction will begin later this year.
