The woman has had issues with her boyfriend being violent in the past. The male left the home before police arrived and the woman’s aunt came and got her and her child

  • 5:52 p.m. Report of what sounded like a small explosion at State Road 60 East an Ninth Street in Mitchell. Police were unable to find a problem
  • 6:47 p.m. Citizen assist in the 20 block of Cody Road. The sister who is schizophrenic had shoved her mother last night and now mother is afraid of her daughter. The female was transported to the IU Bloomington hospital by ambulance
  • 6:50 p.m. Request for a welfare check at Persimmon Park Apartments
  • 6:54 p.m. A resident in the 530 block of Old Vincennes Road reported he received a text message from his daughter two days ago that she could not take it anymore and now he can not get a hold of her and is worried. Martin County police went to the female’s home in Loogootee and no one would answer the door. Her phone was pinged and the female was located and she was fine
  • 6:58 p.m. A fake $100 bill was passed at Terry’s on Main Street in Mitchell
  • 7:22 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1810 block of Linwood Drive
  • 7:36 p.m. Controlled fire in the 1460 block of East Oolitic Road
  • 7:50 p.m. A male juvenile was transported to the juvenile center in Bartholomew County
  • 8:02 p.m. 911 call in the 4510 block of State Road 54 West. Officers could not make contact with the person and police responded and found no problem
  • 8:19 p.m. Domestic fight in the 1080 block of State Road 58 East. A male was having a psychotic break down and is out of control. His father has him pinned to the ground. The male was on the roof attempting to jump off. The male was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital

  • 8:48 p.m. Domestic fight in the 610 block of West Warren Street. The male caller says he was injured by another male
  • 9 p.m. 911 call transferred to Bedford Police Department
  • 9:24 p.m. Citizen assist in the 310 block of West Warren Street. The caller says a female has bought her 13-ear-old daughter a pack of cigarettes
  • 10:10 p.m. A caller reported they could hear a man saying “Stop, Stop Stop” and then heard what sounded like gunshots in the area of Second and Warren streets
  • 10:19 p.m. Theft of a dog by an ex-boyfriend in the 1640 block of Meridian Road
  • 10:55 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1450 block of Sportsman Club Road. A person was having severe stomach pain
  • 11:43 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at Salt Creek bridge
  • 11:43 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a Dodge pickup westbound on State Road 60 West from State Road 37

Incidents – May 6

  • 12:04 a.m. Request for a welfare check in the 1670 block of Old State Road 37 on an 11-year-old child. The child called saying dad is smoking marijuana in the home and he can’t sleep and loudly watching porn and he can hear it. The child was picked up by his mother and the Department of Child Services was alerted
  • 11:06 a.m. Report of a runaway female in the first block of Coxton Road. The 15-year-old female got in trouble and her phone was taken away. The female left the house and came back. The caller then took her daughter on a drive to take and the daughter got mad and got out of the vehicle and took off. The caller says there was a dark SUV behind them and when she looked back the SUV and her daughter was gone. The SUV turned right on State Road 450 toward Reveres. The teen was located in the 2430 block of State Road 450. Police say the juvenile female was upset about some disciplinary actions taken by mother and stepfather and has been acting out for a few weeks. The parents took away her cell phone but she was borrowing friends’ phones and sneaking them into the house. The juvenile was advised of the incorrigibility statute and the repercussions of not abiding by rules set by her parents
