Warren Green Spicer – Mitchell
August 20, 1965 – May 2, 2019
Warren Green Spicer, 53, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019, at his residence.
Born August 20, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of Green and Edna Marie (Wagner) Spicer, Jr. He married Yolanda Wilkerson on November 7, 1987.
Warren had been employed 15 years at Cresthaven Cemetery. He enjoyed racing, hunting, and fishing. Warren was a 1984 graduate of Mitchell High School.
Survivors include his wife, Yolanda Spicer of Mitchell; children, Audrey (Jeff) Jones of Greenwood, Brandon Lee Chastain of Mitchell, father, Green Spicer, Jr. of Mitchell; dog, Boo Boo; 5 step granddaughters; sisters, Chasity Marie (Kenny) Borum of Crystal River, Florida, Sharon Mullis of Bedford; half brother, Billy Super of Bedford; half-sister, Melissa Spicer of California; nephew, Shae Mullis of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews
His mother and brother, Jeffrey Spicer, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 6, at Haverly Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.

James H. Roach – Orleans
January 25, 1932 – May 2, 2019
James H. Roach, 87, of Orleans, died Thursday, May 2, 2019, at his residence.
Born January 25, 1932, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of William and Effie (Craig) Roach. He married Imogene Denny on August 7, 1954, and she preceded him in death on July 28, 2015. He retired after thirty years at RCA and was a farmer. He was a member of the Guthrie Creek Primitive Baptist Church for 73 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1950-1953, serving two tours of duty during the Korean War.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Lee Adams, and husband, Tony, of Paris Crossing; two sons, Terry Roach, and wife, Teresa, of Garden City, MO and James Edward Roach and wife, Pat, of Houston, TX; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Louise Gore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two daughters, Kathy Jean Bailey and Karen Joy Roach; a son, Neal Harold Roach and twelve siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Terry Roach and Mike Chastain officiating. Burial will follow in the Guthrie Creek Primitive Baptist Cemetery where military rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, May 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Leroy Payne – Shoals
Leroy Payne, 64, of Shoals, passed away at his residence on Boyd Hollow Road.
He was born January 18, 1955, in Martin County, to Henry and Maxine (Spaulding) Payne.
He is survived by one daughter, Crystal Spears; one brother, Larry L. Payne of Shoals; and one sister, Jeanette Wade of Shoals. Two nieces, one nephew, five great-nieces, and one great-nephew also survive.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
No services are planned.
