(ORLEANS) – Orange County REMC recently promoted Billy Chastain to the position of operations manager, after serving several years as staking engineer for the co-op.
REMC General Manager/CEO Matthew Deaton shared his thought about the decision to use Chastain to fill the vacancy.
“Over the years, I have witnessed Billy continuing to make strides in technical competency as well as leadership. He has demonstrated that he is capable of being successful as operations manager. I know he will oversee the electric operations in a manner fair and mindful of all our members. I am excited to have Billy as a member of the senior staff and look forward to working with him to execute the strategy and vision of the cooperative.”
