(SALEM) – Salem Fire Department firefighters battled a house fire Friday afternoon at 511 South Posey Street.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 1:45 p.m. and had the fire under control by 2:09 p.m.
Firefighters say the fire was contained to a bedroom and attic area.
But the home had fire, heat and water damage making the house a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
