(BLOOMINGTON) – A Bloomington mother and her boyfriend are facing neglect charges after Bloomington Police were called to an apartment in the 1400 block of West 12th Street.
According to police officers were called to the apartment after receiving a 911 call about a woman going in and out of the apartment screaming.
When police arrived they noticed a baby swing moving in the living room and asked about the child.
They also noticed a capped syringe and marijuana on a coffee table.
Police say the man and woman were both impaired.
Police arrested 31-year-old Ashley Davis and 46-year-old William Bennett on charges of neglect of a dependent, unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of marijuana.
