Pacers End Regular Season With Win Over Hawks

(ATLANTA, GA) – Edmond Sumner sank three straight free throws with three-tenths of a second remaining to life the Indiana Pacers to a thrilling 135-134 win over the Atlanta Hawks to close out the regular season.

It looked like the Hawks had the game wrapped up as Taurean Prince drained a 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left but DeAndre Bembry would foul Sumner on a last gasp 3-point attempt and send him to the line where he would put the game away in Indiana’s favor.
T.J. Leaf had a career-high 28 points to go with 10 rebounds while Tyreke Evans added 27.
The Pacers already knew they were facing the Boston Celtics in the first round but now they know their series starts Sunday at 1pm in Boston. Game 2 will be on Wednesday before the series heads to Indianapolis for Games 3 and 4 on April 19 and the 21st.
