State Sen. Eric Koch Honors Indiana’s Rosie The Riveters

(INDIANAPOLIS) – State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) honors Indiana’s Rosie the Riveters who are among the 16 million American women who contributed to the war effort during World War II with Senate Concurrent Resolution 64 Thursday, at the Statehouse.

Koch (right) was joined by Clara “Betty” Short (second from right), an original Rosie, who worked at Allison Plant 3 in Speedway during WWII building engines for a number of fighter planes as well as the president of Indiana’s American Rosie the Riveter Association chapter Angie Timan-Morthland (third from right) of Lawrence County.
