Culvert Replacement Project on US 31 in Jackson County Begins Next Week

(JACKSON CO.) – Starting on or after Monday, April 1, contractors will begin a $383,000 project to replace a culvert on US 31 over Mutton Creek Ditch, approximately 2.5 miles north of US 50.

Work will begin with right-of-way clearing and shoulder widening. Once those activities are complete, U.S. 31 will be reduced to single lane traffic. Crews will use temporary signals and barrier wall to maintain traffic in both directions during construction.
