Seymour Man Arrested on Burglary Charges

(SEYMOUR) – A Seymour man was arrested after police say he stole $162.56 from a cash register during the burglary at Darlage Custom Meats, on Scheter Road on the morning of July 28, 2018.

Police arrested 26-year-old Preston Devon Marshawn Redmond on a felony charge of burglary and misdemeanor charges of theft and criminal mischief.
According to a press release, Seymour Police Detective Sgt. C.J. Foster and Officer Brian Proffet arrived at the business to find someone had pried open the cash register and taken the money.
The investigation led police to Redmond, who was taken into custody Wednesday by Detective Adam Surface. He was interviewed and arrested.
Redmond is being held without bond at the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown pending his initial hearing.
