Elevare Vocal Ensemble to Perform at Saint Meinrad Archabbey

(ST. MEINRAD) – A concert of sacred music will be presented on Saturday, April 6, at 3 p.m. Central Time in the Saint Meinrad Archabbey Church, in St. Meinrad.

The free event is being presented by the Elevare vocal ensemble from Nashville, TN. They will perform sacred choral works featuring the theme of Mary and her suffering for the season of Lent, including “Stabat Mater” by Domenico Scarlatti.
Elevare was formed with nine core members in 2018. The name is derived from the Latin word elevare, meaning “to elevate,” which expresses the members’ desire to elevate sacred text and music.
