Bloomington Police Called After One Employee Throws Cheeseburger at Another

(BLOOMINGTON) – Bloomington Police officers were called to the McDonald’s on Third Street Tuesday night after a report of an argument between workers just after 11 p.m.

One employee had picked up a cheeseburger and threw it at the other striking the coworker in the face.
The argument began after a 21-year-old male employee complained to an 18-year-old female employee that she was working too slow. During the argument, the male threw the cheeseburger at the female.
The female told police she was not injured but wanted to file charges against the male.
Officers spoke to the manager, who confirmed the female was working slowly and her coworkers were upset cause she was not pulling her weight.
The accused male had clocked out and left work. He later told police he had gotten mad but should have controlled his anger and not thrown the burger.
Police issued the male a summons to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of battery.
