(MARTINSVILLE) – The closure of the right lane of southbound State Road 37 from just south of Morgan Street to just north of State Road 44 that began today will remain in place until noon on Friday, March 29. State Road 37 is three lanes at this point and two through lanes will remain open to traffic.
Crews will use the restriction to expedite tree clearing operations in the area, and the extra space will provide a safe buffer zone between workers and active travel lanes. Motorists should be aware of the southbound lane restriction north of Martinsville and are urged to keep their attention on the roadway.
