Brickyard 400 Moving To July 4th Weekend In 2020

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The Brickyard 400 is on the move again, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Just two years after announcing the race would move from the dead of summer to the cooler temperatures in September NASCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced on Tuesday that the race will now be held on Fourth of July weekend, beginning July 5, 2020.
It’ll be the third date change for the race in four years.
“Along with the Indianapolis 500 on Memorial Day weekend, we like the idea of another American weekend in the summer,” IMS President Doug Boles said after the announcement.
