Public Information Meeting For I-65 Added Travel Lanes Project Scheduled For Thursday

(SEYMOUR) – The Indiana Department of Transportation and contractor E&B Paving announced that a public information meeting will be held Thursday, March 28 to offer updates on the progress on the construction progress of the I-65 added travel lanes project in Bartholomew and Jackson counties.


The meeting will be from 6 p.m until 7 p.m. ET at the Hampton Inn Seymour at 247 N. Sandy Creek Dr.
The three year, $143 million project recently entered its second phase. Work includes rebuilding I-65 as a 6-lane roadway between U.S. Highway 50 and State Road 58 with repair/resurface of I-65 from S.R. 58 to the S.R. 46 exit at Columbus. Traffic signals have been installed at the S.R. 58 exit and a caution light replaced with a traffic signal at the U.S. 31/S.R. 250 intersection.
