(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was arrested after police were called to a home in the 2310 block of I Street on Saturday.
When Bedford Police officers responded at 3:30 p.m. they were approached by a female saying she found marijuana inside the home and confronted 39-year-old Byron Lintz about the drug.
“The victim says Mr. Lintz grabbed her, wrapped her up and threw her to the ground causing a cut to her left ring finger,” says Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore. “There was visible blood on her hand and clothes, and she complained of pain to her ribs making it hard to breathe.”
After being thrown to the ground, she told police Lintz grabbed the marijuana and threw it away and then returned to find the female outside speaking to officers.
Lintz declined to speak to officers. He was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
