Dana O’Neal, 80, of Bedford, died at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at her residence.
Born July 18, 1938, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of John and Lelah (Harvey) Nikirk. She married Billie O’Neal on January 29, 1960, and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2014. She was a homemaker and a founding member of the Grace Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include children, Terri Sykes, and husband, Leon, Brent O’Neal, Paula Johnson and husband, Scott, Stacy
O’Neal and wife, Chera; eight grandchildren, Curtis Sykes, Chris Sykes and wife, Deanna, April Dralle, and husband,
Ryan, Derek O’Neal, Brittany O’Neal, Matthew Johnson and wife, Lisa, Lane O’Neal, and A.J. O’Neal; fourteen
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marshall Nikirk, and wife, Betty, Delvin Nikirk and wife, Jeanette; two sisters,
Warnetta Kirkman and husband, Junior, Bonnie Noblitt and husband, Chuck; sisters-in-law, Janet Clements and
husband, David and their daughter, Tammy, and Sharon Nikirk; a brother-in-law, Joe Roberts; several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters, Wilma Henderson, Lois Andis, Ada Buher, Wanda Roberts, and Marjorie Henderson: two brothers, Danny Nikirk and Melvin Nikirk (in infancy).
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17th at the Grace Full Gospel Church with Pastor
Brent O’Neal and Pastor Bruce Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from
2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th at the Grace Full Gospel Church and from 1 p.m. until the hour of
service on Sunday, March 17th at the church.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Grace Full Gospel Church Building Fund.

James William Ivey – Shoals
August 10, 1937 – March 12, 2019
James William Ivey, 81, of Shoals, passed away at his residence on March 12, 2019.
He was born August 10, 1937, in Harlan County, Kentucky to Arthur W. and Della May (Ivy) Ivey. He married Vera Janice Osborn on May 23, 1968, in Shoals and she survives.
He was a member of the Dover Hill Christian Union and retired in 2001 from Jasper Laminates.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Richard Brian and Charla Ivey of Shoals; grandchildren, Kayla and Kevin Nabors of Cross Isle, Michigan, Timothy and Koda Ivey of Shoals, Jacob Ivey of Shoals; great-granddaughters, Aaralyn Nabors, Finley Grace Nabors, Chole Ivey, Jake Ivey, Damien Ivey, Zayden Ivey; three sisters, Nadine Thompson of Austin, Glenda Porter of Bedford, Diane Hunt of Bedford; brothers, Kenneth Ivey of Bedford, Tom Ivey of Shoals and Tony Ivey of Mitchell.
Preceding him in death are his parents, two sons, William Jason Ivey, and William Roy Ivey; four sisters, Debbie Berry, Carolyn Willens, Ora Holland, and Sue Ivey.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with Pastor Mike Schlegel officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 11 a.m. until the time of service.
The Queen-Lee Chapel of the Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in charge of the arrangements.
