Vallonia Man Arrested In Brownstown

(BROWNSTOWN) – On Friday, a Vallonia man was arrested after a traffic stop on West Commerce Street.


At approximately Noon, Brownstown Officer Samuel Hughes saw a red Chevy S-10 traveling westbound on West Commerce Street over the posted speed limit.
Officer Hughes conducted a traffic stop at the Country Mart gas station in Brownstown.

The driver William Carson was driving on a suspended driver’s license with a prior conviction and was wanted on a warrant out of Lawrence County for driving while his driver’s license was suspended.
Carson was arrested, and officers did an inventory on his truck before it was towed. During that inventory, officers discovered and seized 4.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Carson was transported to the Jackson County Jail on charges of driving while his driver’s license was suspended with a prior conviction, the warrant out of Lawrence County and possession of meth.
