Bedford Teen Not Injured After Being Hit By Truck

(BEDFORD) – A 13-year-old Bedford teen was not injured after she was struck by a truck on O Street on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police Department report, 57-year-old Larry Hardman of Bloomington was traveling south on O Street at a low-rate of speed and when he saw Faith Callender, of Bedford, dart into the roadway. Hardman slammed on his brakes in an attempt not to hit her.
Callender told police she did not look for traffic when she entered the street in front of Hardman’s truck.
Hardman stopped immediately to see if Callender was hurt.
