Ingle served as town marshal for 11½ years and resigned from that position after assuming the role of street superintendent in town. Ingle also is the superintendent of the sewer and water departments and in November was elected to serve as the Carr Township trustee.
On Monday the town council voted to hire Hanlin.
He will take office on Feb. 25. Hanlin, 47, will remain a part-time officer in Prince’s Lakes and Trafalgar.
