Marlene Elane Beavers, 73, of Bedford, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 25, 1945, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Donald and Louise (Etchison) Terrell. She married Henry E. Beavers June 13, 1966, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2015.
Marlene retired from Dana Corporation and was a homemaker. She graduated from Huron High School in 1962 and was a member of White River Baptist Church. Marlene enjoyed crocheting and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Lynn Beavers of Bedford, Juanita Louise (Jeff) Combs of Bedford, Patricia Ann (Brian) Morgan of Orleans, Jessica Elaine (Stephen) Jaggers of Mitchell, Anna Marie (Roger) Dotts of Mitchell; grandchildren, Megan Renee Parker, James Wesley Deckard, Keisha Ann, Reathaford, Austin Tanner Morgan, Andrea Renee Jaggers, Sabrina Paige Jaggers, Daiquiri Joseph Lee Jaggers, and Mallie Elizabeth Elane Dotts; great-grandchildren, Leighton and Dallas; siblings, Beverly (Eddie) Robinson of Mitchell, Ted (Connie) Terrell of Mitchell, Jackie (Roy) Wadsworth of Shoals; several nieces and nephews
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Carolyn (Speer) Staggs, 95, of Springville, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at her residence.
Born March 15, 1923, in Lawrence County, Indiana, she is the daughter of Lawrence and Hattie (Pate) Speer.
She married John H. Staggs and he preceded her in death in 1986.
She retired from General Electric in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bedford. She enjoyed sewing and word search puzzles.
Surviving are her children, Paul James (Virginia) Eggers, David Lee (Sheila) Eggers, Roy Dale Eggers, Michael Eugene (Lana) Eggers, Linda Ann Eagans, Connie Sue Asberry; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Edwards and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Staggs; two sons Ronald Case and Gary Eggers; granddaughter Leslie Eggers, son-in-law Larry Eagans, three brothers, four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Dr. David Eggers officiating. Burial will be at Pinhook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
