Salem Woman Arrested On Drug Charges

(SALEM) – A Salem woman was arrested last week after police stopped her vehicle on a traffic violation.

Indiana State police arrested 28-year-old Chancla Hobson on several drug charges late Thursday evening.
ISP Trooper Kyle Taylor pulled Hobson over for not using a turn signal as she turned onto Tucker Street from Arthur Street.
Hobson told the trooper she was running late to her job at NetShape and needed to be at work by midnight.
Salem Deputies Brad Naugle and Paul Ginkins, and canine Leny arrived to assist. Leny alerted for possible narcotics in the vehicle.
Officers seized four baggies of marijuana, a bottle with 30 Xanax pills in it, a set of digital scales and several empty baggies.
Hobson was arrested on charges of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, dealing in a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
