Carsen Edwards Named Big Ten Conference Player Of The Week

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) – Purdue All-American guard Carsen Edwards was named Big Ten Conference Player of the Week for the fifth time of his collegiate career.


Edwards averaged 27.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the Boilermakers two victories over Penn State and Minnesota, including a 38-point explosion against the Nittany Lions.
Edwards has scored double-figures in 42 consecutive games and ranks fifth nationally in scoring at 24.5 points per game.
Edwards has also been selected as one of 10 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, given to the nation’s top point guard.
Edwards has led the Boilermakers to a 16-6 record, are winners of 10 of their last 11 games, including currently being on a seven-game winning streak.
