Purdue Holds Off Penn State In Overtime

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) – The Purdue Boilermakers needed overtime but they got the job done as they held off Penn State 99-90 to earn their sixth straight win.


Carsen Edwards dropped 38 points while Ryan Cline added 20 as Purdue shot over 55-percent from both the field and 3-point range.
Edwards and Cline combined for 14 of the Boilermakers 16 made 3-pointers and as a team they connected on 19 of their 21 free throw attempts.
Penn State was led by Lamar Stevens’ 24 points while Rasir Boilton added 18 off the bench.
In overtime, it was all Purdue as they outscored the Nittany Lions 14-5.
The Boilermakers improve to 15-6 on the season, are 8-2 in conference play and have won nine of their last ten games. They’ll try to make it seven straight wins on Sunday when they host Minnesota.
