(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The Colts and kicker Adam Vinateri made it official on Monday as both sides agreed on a 1-year deal worth a reported $3.875 million.
The 46-year old said the decision to return for a 24th season was a relatively easy decision.
“I knew pretty early on that I wanted to come back,” he said. “You look around at the season we just had and I kept thinking ‘We’ve got something going here. I want to be a part of this.”
In a statement, GM Chris Ballard said he was happy to make the signing one of his easiest offseason priorities.
“Adam is not only one of the greatest Colts in team history, but one of the greatest players in NFL history. We value Adam’s reliability and feel he will continue to kick at a high level.”
