Area School Corporations Monitoring Weather Closely

(UNDATED) – Area school corporations are monitoring the weather closely as dangerously cold air will be moving into central Indiana this week. Double-digit below zero air temperatures along with wind chills below 25 below zero are likely.

As you know, forecasts change over time. Actual temperature, wind-chill, visibility, precipitation, road conditions, weather advisories/warnings, and hourly forecasts are all considered in the corporation’s decisions to open, delay or have an early dismissal.
Officials will continue to monitor the weather closely and will make decisions as soon as possible.
Officials know the inconvenience this places on families. The goal is to try to be open if possible, however, in extreme cases, officials will announce delays, release early, or close.
