Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Two Vehicles

(INDIANAPOLIS) – A pedestrian died on the east side Monday after being struck by two vehicles, including an IndyGo bus.

It happened at the intersection of 34th and Dequincy streets shortly before 7 p.m., according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Investigators believe the adult female was walking along the street when she stepped out into the path of an IndyGo bus. The bus then clipped her and she went into the other lane, where a second vehicle ran over her, according to police at the scene.
Officers believe the second vehicle was the one that delivered the fatal blow. That vehicle fled after the crash, but police haven’t provided any description of it at this point.
Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name and age of the pedestrian has not been released by authorities.
