Colts General Manager Chris Ballard Named Executive Of The Year

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The Pro Football Writers of America announced on Thursday that Colts General Manager Chris Ballard was their selection for the 2018 NFL Executive of the Year.

In Ballard’s second season at the position he helped overhaul the team from a 4-12 record last year to a 10-6 record this season and a playoff win over Wild Card weekend.
Ballard hit home runs with his first two pick in the 2018 draft with Quenton Nelson and Darius Leonard, who became the first rookie teammates named First-Team All-Pro since Gale Sayers and Dick Butkus with the Chicago Bears in 1965.
Ballard also got some major contributors via free agency in tight end Eric Ebron, who led all tight ends in touchdowns and made the Pro Bowl, while Denco Autry led the team in sacks with 9.0.
