Colts Fire Offensive Line Coach Dave DeGuglielmo

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The Colts made a surprising move on Tuesday as they fired offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo.

DeGuglielmo was already brought on board with the Colts after Josh McDaniels had verbally agreed to take the job. Once McDaniels spurned Indianapolis and the Colts hired Frank Reich he decided to keep DeGuglielmo on board.
DeGuglielmo helped drastically reshape the Colts offensive line unit, which gave up a league-worst 56 sacks in 2017 and cut it to a league-best 18.
The Colts also lost assistant offensive line coach Bobby Johnson, who agreed to become the offensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills.
Andrew Luck is headed to the Pro Bowl. The Colts QB was named to the all-star game to replace Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers, who is unable to participate due to injury.
It is Luck’s fourth-career selection and his first since 2014. Luck threw for 4,593 yards with 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
The Pro Bowl will take place Sunday, January 27 in Orlando.
