Colts GM Meets With Media, Discusses Season

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – As the Colts continue to put a bow on their 2018 season and look forward GM Chris Ballard met with the media on Monday for almost an hour and spoke on a number of topics.

When it comes to what the team’s biggest challenge will be for next season Ballard said, “The hardest step is going from good to great.”
He also said he loved the contributions from their draft class.
“You see what a monster Quenton Nelson is out there. He has an attitude and belief that he isn’t going to get beat by anyone and he sure showed us that. As far as Darius Leonard, I’ve been around Urlacher, I’ve been around Lance Briggs, I’ve been around Derrick Johnson, and Darius Leonard has a chance to be as good as all of them.”
Ballard lauded the work that Frank Reich and the coaching staff did and also talked about free agency.
“There was so much uncertainty with this team last time, between Andrew’s health and a new coaching staff. I don’t think that is an issue anymore. I think this is a place people want to be and we plan on taking advantage of that.”
