(TUNNELTON) – A Bedford woman was injured after she crashed her car on Fort Ritner Road Thursday night.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report, 24-year-old Sarah Verhines was traveling east on Fort Ritner Road, near Tunnelton Road, in her black 2008 Mazda 3 when the car left the roadway while she was negotiating a curve and struck a tree head-on.
Verhines, 6810 State Road 158, complained of pain to her entire body. She was flown by a StatFlight helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
Shawswick Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
