Wanda Gale (Ollis) Crane
Wanda Gale (Ollis) Crane, 89, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, at her residence.
Born September 25, 1929, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Herschel and Felma (Hackney) Ollis.
She married Haden Crane on August 6, 1948, and he survives.
She was a graduate of Tunnelton High School, Class of 1948.
Wanda was a homemaker and worked as a Title 1 Aid at Tunnelton and Lincoln Elementary Schools.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bedford. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
Surviving are her husband, Haden; children, Beth Anne and husband Tom Harrell, Sharon Crane, and Alan and wife Kim Crane; grandchildren, Josh and wife Caroline Harrell, Sara and husband Brice Templeton, and Aaron and wife Mandy Harrell; great-grandchildren, Aliza and Haden Templeton, Jay, Rosemary, and Rhett Harrell; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Pastor Lee Brown officiating. Burial will be in White River Baptist Cemetery, Buddha.
Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Bedford.

Pamela Judith Blair
Pamela Judith Blair, 68 years, formerly of Loogootee, died at the Daviess Memorial Hospital, Washington, IN, early Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2018. She was born in Martin County on April 9, 1950, to David and Ruth (Lindley) Tinkle. She married James Blair on August 2, 1970, in Martin County. Mr. Blair died on June 4, 2009.
Pamela had been disabled for several years but had worked at Nasco Textiles in Washington and PerfectFit in Loogootee. She also had worked as a healthcare worker.
She is survived by four daughters: Karen and Dario Lee of Salem, Renee and Terry Street of Loogootee, Amy Kaeck of Otwell, and Angel and Allan Riggle of Washington. Eleven grandchildren: Zachary Acker, Kristen Acker, Wyatt Street, Brieanna Smith, Hanna Smith, Andrew Smith, Lane Keller, Logan Keller, Nicolas Keller, Matthew Riggle, and Mark Riggle and one great-granddaughter, Temperance Smith. She is also survived by four sisters: Brenda Tedrow of Loogootee, Linda Courtwright of Washington, Lana Bush of Linton, and Yvonne Stone of Shoals; and two brothers, Tennis Tinkle of Loogootee and Harold Tinkle of Dubois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son-in-law, Cpl. Darrell Smith; three sisters, Carolyn Taylor, Clarabelle Wininger, and Janet Ragains. Also preceding was four brothers; Danny, Jack, Carl, and William.
Friends may call at the Queen-Lee Chapel from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Friday, with the funeral being at 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Goodwill Cemetery, Loogootee.
Osa Williams Staggs
August 8, 1937 – October 12, 2018
Bedford – Osa William Staggs, 81, of Bedford, died Friday, October 12, 2018, at his residence.
Born August 8, 1937, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of John Harrison and Iva Jean (Webb) Staggs. He married Carolyn Elizabeth May on December 7, 1957, and she survives. He was a diamond sawyer for Summitt & Evans Stone Mill. He served as a member of the National Guard Army Reserve.
Survivors include the love of his life, his wife, Carolyn, of Bedford; a son, Brian Staggs and wife, Debbie, of Williams; a daughter, Christine Staggs, of Bedford; a granddaughter, Chelsey Banks and her companion, Timothy Bartlett; a grandson, Seth Staggs and wife, Amanda; a brother in Christ, Millard Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Kenneth Dale and Charles David Staggs.
Cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 3rd at the East Oolitic Community Church with Millard Jones officiating.
