William M. Johnson – Bedford
July 22, 1967 – August 5, 2018
William M. Johnson, 51, of Bedford, died Sunday, August 5, 2018.
Born July 22, 1967 in Bedford, he was the son of William C. Johnson and Frances Iris “Sue” Johnson. He married Judy
Morrow and she survives. He was a former jail commander with the Sheriff’s Department. Bill had been an avid
hunter from a very early age. He enjoyed both watching and participating in drag racing at Beanblossom and New
Hope racetracks.
Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Bedford; his father, William C. Johnson, of Gosport; a son, William Michael Johnson, Jr., of Bedford; a sister, Jetta Dunsford and husband, Steve, of Floyds Knobs; two nephews, Jack and Sam Dunsford. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Harold Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Leo Lynch, 93, of Williams went to his Heavenly Home Saturday, August 04, 2018 at the IU Health Bedford
Hospital.
Born June 25, 1925 in Martin County he was the son of Harry Lynch, Sr. and Louisa Jane (Grimes) Lynch. He married Lucille Etchison on April 6, 1946 and she preceded him in death on August 8, 2014. He was a member of the Williams First Baptist Church, and the Shoals White River Masonic Lodge #332. He was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, he was also a farmer, truck driver owner/ and operator, he owned and operated a gas station in Williams, and has served as the Spice Valley Township Trustee. Leo loved his family, his grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include his children: Evon Emmick and her husband Mike of Williams, Daniel Lynch of Williams, and Millie Tidd and her husband Russell of Williams; eight grandchildren: Kelly Lawyer, Amy Stockman, Rob Lynch, Matt Lynch, Jimmy Coulter, Danielle Sinclair, Tana Tidd, and Ben Tidd; seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille, a son, Robert Lynch, and fourteen siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter
Mortuary with Bro. Tom East officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until
7 p.m. on Monday, August 6 th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Sharen Lynn Haas – Bedford

Sharen Lynn Haas, 80, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday August 4, 2018 at Westview Nursing and Rehab, Bedford.
Born October 3, 1937, in Lawrence County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Earl R. and Dora M. (Young) Bodenhamer.
She married Jeffrey N. Haas on April 11, 1969; and he survives. Sharen graduated from Needmore High School with the class of 1955. She retired from PSI, where she worked in the Bedford, Bloomington, and Columbus offices.
Surviving are her husband, Jeffrey, of Bedford; one son, Jeffrey (Tracie) Haas II, of Libertyville, Illinois; grandchildren, Emma F., Elizabeth M., and Andrew J. Haas; and two nieces, Linda (Steven) Cobb and Nancy Bugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jennifer Sue Haas; two sisters, Nellie Stillions and Alta Vint; and two nephews, Gary and Ward Stillions.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

Mary Jane Hamilton – Bono

Mary Jane (Box) Hamilton, 88, of Bono, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Garden Villa, Bedford after a long illness.
Born April 30, 1930, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Benny and Verlie (Flinn) Box. She married Harry “Bill” Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Bill” Hamilton; parents, Benny and Verlie Box; sister, Dorothy Box Farris and husband Desco; three brothers, Roland “Bud” Box, Kenneth “Kenny” Box and Donald Box in infancy.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Baldwin and husband Everett, of Texas, Karen Hearth and husband Larry, of Bedford, and William Scott Hamilton and wife Susie, of Tunnelton; three grandchildren, Bruce Baldwin and fiancé Ann, of Texas, Paul Baldwin and husband Gabe, of Texas, and Chelsie Hearth and companion Barry Miller, of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Kayliee Baldwin, of Texas; sisters-in-law, Jewel Box, of Bedford, and Ruby Tuell, of Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a member of Bono and Tunnelton United Methodist Churches. She retired from G.E. in 1994 and was active in community activities. Her favorite hobbies were sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and traveling.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Kenny Dalton officiating. Burial will be in Tolbert Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.. on Monday at the funeral chapel.
