John Paul Clark Sr. – Jasper
November 9, 1958 – June 16, 2018
John Paul Clark Sr., 79, of Jasper, passed away at 7:18 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
He was born in Rutherford Township in Martin County on January 23, 1939 to Alfred and Wilma (Way) Clark. He married Patricia Jo Bledsoe on November 9, 1958 at the Loogootee United Methodist Church.
He attended the Truelove-Davis Schools and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He worked at Jasper Desk and was employed by Jasper Wood Products until retirement. After retirement he enjoyed driving for the Amish, going for rides in the country, loved people watching, enjoyed watching old game shows and westerns on television and spending time with his family.
Survivors include daughters, Cathy Sue Schott of Jasper, Pamela Abrams and husband Greg of Oaktown, W. Marie Clark of Lynchburg, Ohio; sons, Steve Bledsoe and wife Tonya of Washington, John P. Clark Jr. and wife Barbera of Jasper, Gary Wayne Clark and wife Teresa of Loogootee; brothers, Frank Clark of Jasper, Jack Clark of Columbia, SC, Fred Clark of Jasper, Tom Clark of Columbia, SC; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Janet Kay Clark; three sisters, Betty Sutton, Mary Walton, Margie Clark; brothers Bill Clark, Robert Clark and Jim Clark; and grandson Christopher Scott Wiscaver.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be held at a later date in the Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee.
The Queen-Lee Chapel of the Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Shoals is in charge of the arrangements.
Charles Robert Bruner – Shoals
September 8, 1931 – June 16, 2018
Charles Robert Bruner, 86, of Shoals, passed away at 11:22 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Martin County, Indiana on September 8, 1931 to Charles Wesley and Reina Charlotte (Dorman) Bruner. He married Judith Ann Spears on July 11, 1959. He graduated from Shoals High School, was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War, retired from NSWC Crane, started BJ Graphic Arts on Main Street in Shoals, and retired as a Rural Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Shoals. His hobbies included, woodworking, poetry, writing short stories, telling stories, drawing and was a Blade Smith.
He is survived by his children, Robert Joseph Bruner (Laurel) of Travers City Michigan, Charles David Bruner (Liz) of Newburgh, William Wesley Bruner (Kim) of Shoals, Deborah Ann Bruner Haviland of Shoals, Rebecca Lynn Bruner of Montgomery; Grand-Children, Stephanie Bruner, Killian Bruner, Devon Bruner, Khesha Bruner, Brittany Bruner, Sara Beier, Leslie Forston, Robert Forston, Adam Bruner, Jordan Haviland, Eilis Haviland, Abbigail Haviland, Malin Haviland, Lydia Bruner, Cassidy Bruner, Bristol Bruner; Great Grand-Children, Teran Stucki, Ava Stucki, Olivia Bruner, Phoebe Simmons, Colin Davis, Judy Davis, Kahle Davis, Carter Beier, Liam Beier, Eddie Payne, Atalie Aktins, Saylor Forston-Nuekam, Sophia Gibbs and one sister, Wahneta Rose Bruner Felton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, William “Bill” Bruner, David Nelson Bruner a nephew, Billy Sims and a niece, Cheryl Granger.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Hindostan United Methodist Church with Rev. Marty Evans officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.

Joseph E. Taylor Sr. – Bedford

Joseph E. Taylor Sr., 67, of Bedford, passed away at 6:42 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born February 8, 1951 in Marion, Indiana, he was the son of Edward and Lillian (Morgan) Taylor. He was a graduate of Marion High School, class of 1969. Joseph was a retired self-employed masonry contractor. He was a lifelong member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsman Club.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph E. (Carol) Taylor Jr. and Jordan Trey Taylor, both of Bedford; two daughters, Tammy Mae Sanders of Bedford and Stacy Renee (Bobby) Raikes of Indianapolis; Eight grandchildren, Joyce, Zachary, Lillian, Riley, Spencer, Colton, Chloe, and Quinton; one great granddaughter, Haley; and two brothers, James Taylor and Jerry Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Phil Thorne officiating. Entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Mary Ruth Gentry – Bedford
Mary Ruth Gentry, 74, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
